Atlas Double Traffic Barrier
Atlas™ Double Traffic Barrier is designed to withstand repeated impacts from some of the largest and heaviest workplace vehicles in busy, large-scale airport operations.
This high-strength, heavy-duty barrier has been purpose-engineered for airports with input from the British Airports Authority.
Typically used to protect baggage conveyors, floodlight masts, pier and charging units, Atlas Barriers are ideal for any heavy-duty environment requiring world-class impact protection.
Available in numerous lengths, and in yellow, black and grey as standard. Multi-directional posts ensure maximum flexibility and a tailored fit around all equipment and into any location. A fully modular system means rails and posts can be quickly and easily replaced in-situ, without removing adjacent barrier sections. Suitable for heavyweight vehicles with an impact height of 205 – 745mm.
Designed to withstand heavy impact from airport specific vehicles such as fully laden baggage tugs, where the forces at play in extreme-weight environments could cause considerable damage.
Rotating wear collars deflect angled-impact from extreme weight vehicles, helping to defend against repeat glancing blows that cause expensive on-going repair and maintenance costs.
Heavy duty self-undercutting anchors, working with the absorption system to give greatest resistance to pull-out forces and preserve expensive flooring.
The advanced engineering features in the Atlas range are specially designed to absorb forces that would buckle or break steel or lighter-weight polymer products.
